It is understandable to experience hesitation before starting therapy and we are here to help. Whether it's by phone, email, text, or reviewing some common questions below, we are here to clarify and be of service in whatever way is most authentic to you.
In your first session, you can expect to discuss what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. This is an opportunity for you to see if your therapist is a good fit, and for you to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. You'll also review some initial paperwork and begin to develop a plan for your work together.
Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes long. Most clients find it helpful to meet on a weekly basis, especially at the beginning of their work, to build momentum and consistency. However, you will discuss and agree upon a meeting frequency that best suits your needs and goals.
The length of therapy is highly individual and depends on your unique goals and what you hope to work on. Some people may find a few months of therapy to be sufficient, while others may prefer a longer-term approach. You and your therapist will regularly check in on your progress and re-evaluate your plan as needed.
Therapy is working when you begin to notice small, positive shifts in your life. This could look like a greater sense of calm, improved relationships, or a better ability to manage challenging thoughts and emotions. You will collaborate with your therapist to set clear, measurable goals and check in on your progress throughout our time together.
We are an in-network provider for several insurance plans, and we also work with clients who have out-of-network benefits. To ensure there are no surprises, we highly recommend calling your insurance provider to verify your mental health coverage and understand your specific benefits, such as your copay and deductible. We're happy to help you with this process.
Our self-pay rate is $175 per 50-minute session. This fee is due at the time of service. Please see our Self-Pay page for a more detailed breakdown of our rates.
We require 24 hours' notice for all cancellations. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be charged the full session fee. This policy helps us manage our time effectively and allows us to offer the appointment to another client who may be on our waiting list.
Yes we do. Our telehealth platform is HIPAA-compliant, ensuring your privacy and confidentiality. This option provides you with the flexibility to attend sessions from the comfort of your own home.
The first step is to schedule a brief, free consultation with us. This is an opportunity to ask questions and discuss what you're looking for in therapy. After that, we can schedule your first official session.
