Mike Wood is a dedicated mental health professional committed to helping individuals navigate their most significant emotional and behavioral challenges. His clinical focus centers on providing mental health support for those diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and Bipolar Disorder, as well as professionals in high-stress careers. He specializes in equipping these individuals with practical tools necessary to manage depression, anxiety, and the cumulative impact of trauma and burnout.
Mike’s therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that a non-judgmental, accepting environment is the essential foundation for true healing. He utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to empower clients with skills for managing intense emotions, improving self-regulation, and building stable, meaningful relationships. Furthermore, as an EMDR-trained clinician, Mike incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients process and integrate traumatic experiences that often underpin chronic emotional dysregulation.
This approach directly reflects the mission and philosophy of Shift Together Wellness. Mike believes that healing is not a solitary endeavor but a collaborative shift toward resilience. By fostering a supportive and validating space, he aligns with the practice's core value of "shifting" away from isolation and toward collective wellness.
