We strive to enhance therapy accessibility for as many individuals as possible. To support this goal, we are in-network with several insurance providers that offer behavioral health coverage, including: Aetna, Anthem EAP, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente of the Mid Atlantic, Maryland Medicaid, Oscar (Optum), Oxford, and United Healthcare.
Navigating insurance can be confusing, but we want to make it as simple as possible for you. If we do not have a contract with your insurance company we would be considered an out-of-network provider. This means you are responsible for paying for our services directly.
However, we can provide you with an itemized receipt, also known as a superbill, which includes all the necessary information about your sessions. You can then submit this superbill directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance provider ahead of time to understand your specific out-of-network benefits.
Paying for therapy directly, often referred to as self-pay, can provide significant benefits that go beyond a simple transaction. It offers you the greatest degree of control over your care, ensuring that your treatment is dictated by your needs and goals, not by insurance limitations. This approach prioritizes your privacy, as no information about your diagnosis or treatment needs to be shared with a third party.
